In the character select menu all idle animations over six-ish games were painstakingly ripped one at a time by hand and had their timing manually figured out by me. Each animation fame, including hold frames, were then assembled into a vertical strip.

Only after this project had ended were tools developed to do this process automatically and eliminate the need for vertical strips.
