Disney Friends for the Nintendo DS
For Disney Friends I was a senior background artist in charge of mentoring, helping complete and unifying the look of each world. I tried to match the background styling of each animated feature to the best of the ability that the DS would allow.
I created: the layout, modeling, texturing, lighting, plus background animation, as well as developing the day and night system and weather maps. I also had to concept out the central hub that links all the worlds together called the Guardian Lounge.
This game was extremely restrictive for backgrounds. All the levels have vertex lighting lighting only and around 600-2500 polys max for the whole level. I was limited to 10 to 20 textures total for each level.
